I am Katie Andrews and
I chose Mike Williams driving school because of the fantastic 10-hour introductory offer, and because he is an independent instructor and not a big driving school with various instructors.
Before staring lessons with Mike Williams driving school, passing my test seemed a million miles away. I was surprised at how quickly I picked it up, I was driving on fairly busy roads on my very first lesson! Mike explains theoretical practice well and applies it to real life driving out on the road.
Mike uses useful diagrams and pictures to help thoroughly explain driving practices before doing it on the road. The diagrams helped me understand the information easier and made the task feel simpler as it creates a visual of the task in my mind. Mike was thorough in his explanations and was always happy to answer any questions or worries that I had.
Don’t think I could have picked a better instructor! Mike is a very reliable and prompt instructor who has never been late, even though I live in the City Centre with high levels of traffic and restricted parking spaces. Mike is a highly organized but flexible instructor who has always been able to work around my University and work commitments. I progressed and grew more confident with every lesson with Mike as his friendly and easy-going personality makes you feel at ease. Mike is excellent at explaining the theoretical elements beforehand and loves to answer any questions I had, no matter how silly they seemed. I think the progress card was useful as I could see the areas where I needed to improve, and it was a great indicator of when I was test ready. On the day of the test Mike was relaxed and reassuring and I didn’t feel any pressure or many nerves. Highly recommend, excellent driving instructor!!
